When I was younger.. my brother and sisters were murdered in front of me because I couldn't get the burglars what they wanted. After that, a lot of things that happened in my life kept going, then I died too, and I can't accept being happy when I haven't been able to atone for that. Falling in love would be something that a normal person who can accept happiness can do. Accepting happiness means I'll stop existing in that afterlife and my soul will be reincarnated without ever doing anything for them. [ She hesitates for a moment, then laughs a little. ] This talk got kind of depressing.

It does seem that all the good men here are taken. Or dull in the head. Pretty to look at, but not much going on upstairs. A shame, really. I miss the days when I could find someone who could put a chill down my spine at every turn.

Such a shame... I suppose a lack of good options about does put a crimp upon the appearance of chills and tingles. One would think the men here could do something for that, but so many of them are simply hopeless.
